About The Position

Requirements
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
- High school/GED education completed.
- Minimum 2 years of warehouse environment experience.
- Working knowledge of general computer skills.
- Consistently capable of working independently to safely analyze and resolve problems.
- Fluency in English required.
Nice To Haves
- Higher education is a plus.
- Experience from the sanitation industry is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with scales is strongly preferred.
- Knowledgeable in the safe operation of all garage tools, diagnostic equipment, lifts, hoists, and jacking equipment.
- Spanish bilingual is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Weighing in and weight out solid waste vehicles from both company drivers and third-party vendors/haulers.
- Overseeing receiving payments.
- Checking loads to ensure they do not contain any unnecessary or inappropriate material.
- Ensuring the safety of the landfill and scale.
- Serving as the first point of contact for any drivers, customers, or other traffic at the scale house.
- Accurately calculating and processing payments, weights, and other measurements.
- Performing various administrative tasks including regular filing, data entry, and reporting.
- Providing general upkeep of the scale house.
- Additional duties as assigned.
