About The Position

Responsible for receiving, loading and milling product to meet Anchor Ingredients high quality standards, while ensuring the day-to-day production needs are met with minimal down time and maximum efficiency.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license
Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions
Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to work in dust
Ability to open traps on trailers/trucks
Ability to work in confined spaces
Ability to work at significant heights

Responsibilities

Scaling Trucks (inbound and outbound loads)
Probing, testing, and scaling all inbound loads
Retaining product samples and marking them
Sweeping scale by unloading pit after each load
Entering test results in BCFoods
Scaling outbound loads, ensuring correct product, quantity, and destination
Obtaining samples, performing micro tests, and running on NIR
Ensuring COA and/or barcode if needed per customer requirements
Completing and posting all paperwork for outbound loads in a timely manner
Checking incoming belt throughout the day to ensure sufficient flow and prevent spillage
Blowing out screens on destoner every 2 hours
Checking hullers amperage and visual product quality every 2 hours
Troubleshooting product accumulation issues
Monitoring baghouse reading throughout the day
Monitoring hulls bin volume throughout the day
Walking around both dirty and clean bins to identify problems
Checking cimbria, destoner, hullers, roller mill and all other parts of production at least once per shift
Mowing lawn, shoveling snow, moving trailers, changing screens, setting up grinder, extra clean up, and other facility tasks as assigned
Cleaning up any mess before going home, ensuring no personal belongings or garbage are left at workstations or common areas
Sweeping around the pit between loads and the entire scale once per shift
Putting tools back in their places after each use
Disconnecting air hoses when not in use
Taking trash to dumpster when it is full
Troubleshooting and communicating breakdowns to the Maintenance team and Supervisor
Repairing minor issues, such as replacing drive belts and patching holes
Utilizing all members of the team to accomplish tasks, holding yourself and others accountable
Asking for help when needed
Prioritizing employee and food safety first, facility production second, and dumping and loading trucks as the third priority
