Scaffold Leadman with Gulf Coast Industrial (GCI)
About The Position
Gulf Coast Industrial (GCI) is seeking a Scaffold Leadman to effectively and safely perform all duties required to erect, alter, and dismantle scaffolds. This role involves assembling, altering, and dismantling scaffolds according to OSHA guidelines and manufacturers' specifications. The Scaffold Leadman will cooperate with the GCI Project Manager and customers, assist in loading, unloading, and storage of equipment and supplies, and direct Helpers/Laborers in proper work performance and job requirements. Safety is paramount, and the Leadman must always perform work in the safest possible manner and immediately correct any unsafe conditions.
Requirements
- Highly productive and experienced in the scaffold craft.
- Familiar with the use of all equipment, materials, and procedures necessary for the safe erection, modification, and dismantling of all types of scaffolds.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Knowledge of safe work practices.
- Must have a TWIC card or be able to obtain one.

- Valid driver's license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Erect, alter, and dismantle scaffolds according to OSHA guidelines and manufacturers' specifications.
- Cooperate with the Project Manager and customers in carrying out assigned work.
- Assist in loading, unloading, and storage of equipment and supplies.
- Direct Helpers/Laborers in proper work performance and job requirements.
- Perform all work in the safest possible manner.
- Immediately correct any unsafe conditions.
- Keep the jobsite clean by removing trash and unused materials.
