About The Position

The Scaffold Leaderman is a member of the construction team reporting to the Danos Scaffold Supervisor. This role involves performing work related to the erection and dismantling of scaffolding, and for smaller projects, on-site supervision. The Leaderman will also be responsible for preparing documentation such as sign-offs, work authorizations, pickup tickets, JSEA, and safety plans. This position requires working "on their tools" while also managing smaller projects and coordinating material logistics for erections and dismantles. The Scaffold Leaderman will supervise and lead the erection and dismantling of various access types, including System Scaffold and Tube and Clamp Scaffolding. The role involves working at heights (up to 200'), in restricted and confined spaces, and potentially in environments over water (for Offshore Personnel). Additionally, the Leaderman will assist construction personnel with various tasks, including rigging, assembly of pipe spools, assisting crane operators, coordinating crane activity, and acting as a firewatch.

Requirements

• Must have 5+ years of Scaffolding experience on offshore or land/plant/refinery jobs
• Must have valid TWIC card
• Must have own tools
• General knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Subpart L Regulations
• Experience using safe work habits

Responsibilities

• Conduct behavioral based safety observations
• Participate in daily JSEA planning discussions
• Perform work involving the erection and dismantling of scaffolding
• Perform on-site supervision for smaller projects
• Prepare documentation including sign-offs, work authorizations, pickup tickets, JSEA, and safety plans
• Manage smaller projects
• Coordinate timely pickups for dismantles and deliveries for erections for smaller projects
• Supervise and lead in the erecting and dismantling of all forms of access including System Scaffold and Tube and Clamp Scaffolding
• Climb and work in high places that may exceed 200’ in height, restricted spaces, places hanging over water (Offshore Personnel) and in confined spaces
• Assist construction personnel with various projects including rigging equipment loads and completing various construction projects
• Assist in the assembly of pipe spools, by bolt up flange connections
• Assist crane operator with equipment and material movement on the platform
• Coordinate crane activity for transport of material to work site with ability to properly rig equipment such as slings and cables
• Assist welders and fitters with assembly of pipe & pipe fittings
