We strive each day to better serve our customers and employees. Candidate will be required to assemble and dismantle tubular and system scaffolding or other temporary structures. Candidate will be responsible for leading scaffold building crew in industrial enviornments. Conduct daily scaffold inspections and scaffold audits. Responsible for cleaning and preparing sites, including removing debris and loading/unloading scaffolding material. Position may require candidate to travel to various locations in the Mid-West working various shifts including weekends and holidays. Candidate must successfully pass Competent Person Scaffold training/testing. Candidate is required to provide proof of completed OSHA 10 or 30.

Requirements

Must successfully pass Competent Person Scaffold training/testing.
Must provide proof of completed OSHA 10 or 30.
Math skills.
Knowledge of basic tools and their applications.
Ability to follow all safe work procedures.
Ability to work in various weather conditions.
Ability to work in confined spaces.
Ability to work at above ground elevations while wearing a harness and other protective equipment.
Good hand-eye coordination.
Excellent communication skills.
Adaptable in methods used to complete task.

Follows directions of manager / lead / superintendent and clarifies responsibilities if needed.

Must be able to lift and move up to 50lbs regularly.
Must be able to climb ladders repetitively.
Ability to perform physically demanding work for 8+ hours a day, including prolonged standing and walking, bending, and twisting.
Ability to complete tasks such as loading, un-loading, cleaning, shoveling, and painting.
Ability to safely perform duties related to confined space work.

Nice To Haves

Has knowledge in various types of scaffold builds such as independent access scaffolds, birdcage, hanging, truss out, and tower.
Has capability to safely build all types of scaffold including hanging suspended scaffolding.
Strong math skills related to basic, algebra, and geometry for calculating measurement.

Responsibilities

Assemble and dismantle tubular and system scaffolding or other temporary structures.
Lead scaffold building crew in industrial environments.
Conduct daily scaffold inspections and scaffold audits.
Clean and prepare sites, including removing debris and loading/unloading scaffolding material.
Promote a safety workplace by participating in safety training, identifying job hazards, wearing correct PPE, and observing for oneself and others.
Perform work at above ground elevations while wearing a harness and other PPE.
Lay out work and execute builds.
Ensure builds are within OSHA standards.
Ensure correct material for build is available.
Spot potentially dangerous conditions.
Perform work as general labor when needed.
Complete additional duties as assigned.
