About The Position

Austin Industrial is hiring a Scaffold Carpenter 3 in Pasadena, Texas. The role supervises the construction, assembly, maintenance, and dismantling of tubular scaffolding and other temporary structures. The employee determines the type of scaffold needed, guides its installation, oversees work, and performs inspections. Other duties may be assigned. Applicants must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States; Austin Industrial cannot sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position. Requirements

3–5 years of journeyman-level experience.
Ability to work at heights without fear.
Legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available.
Physical ability to regularly sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; frequently stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell; regularly lift or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Determine the type of scaffold needed and instruct on how to install it.
Oversee the transport of tubular scaffolding or other structural material and scaffold erection as instructed.
Hoist scaffolding materials to erect temporary structures.
Secure and level locking sections of scaffolding material.
Secure scaffolding to permanent structures for added stability.
Follow OSHA, site-specific, and Austin Industrial requirements for scaffold erection and navigation.
Supervise scaffold dismantling when properly communicated.
Inspect and properly stow scaffolding materials after dismantling.
Perform final inspections of completed scaffolding.
Perform other duties as assigned.
