About The Position

Industrial Scaffold Builder will assist with the construction, dismantling, and repair of wooden and metal scaffolds and auxiliary structures related to scaffold. This role involves identifying tools, safety risks, and precautions, measuring and cutting materials, assisting with scaffold construction and dismantling, and working on miscellaneous construction projects. The position also requires cleaning work areas, possessing all necessary Knowledge Skills and Abilities, assisting other crafts, and meeting all physical requirements and safety regulations. The candidate must have all required tools and reliable transportation. Preference is given to current Zachry or Zachry ROF’ed employees, those with former experience working with Zachry Industrial, Inc., NCCER certification for Industrial Journeyman Carpenter, formal/technical education, and experience with scaffolding, insulation, and painting.

  • Current Zachry or Zachry ROF’ed employee.
  • Former experience working with Zachry Industrial, Inc.
  • National Center for Construction Education and Research’s (NCCER) certification for Industrial Journeyman Carpenter.
  • Formal/Technical education.
  • Experience working with scaffolding, insulation, and painting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the construction, dismantling, and repair of wooden and metal scaffolds and auxiliary structures.
  • Identify all tools required for tasks.
  • Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.
  • Measure, mark, and cut required wooden/metallic materials to required specifications.
  • Assist with the construction, re-enforcement, and dismantling of pre-constructed Scaffolds.
  • Assist with the building and construction of wooden Scaffolds and auxiliary items.
  • Work on miscellaneous construction projects such as building decks and steps, building bulletin boards, and building any additional wooden structures.
  • Clean up work areas.
  • Be willing to assist other crafts while not actively working on Scaffolding.
  • Meet all physical requirements.
  • Be able and willing to follow all safety rules and regulations.
  • Have all required tools.
  • Have reliable transportation.
