This role involves assembling, positioning, modifying, and dismantling scaffolding according to job specifications. It is a non-exempt role that reports to a Frontline Supervisor (Leadman or foreman), with assigned duties checked frequently.

Requirements

High school or equivalent
One to four years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level)
Ability to operate different types of Forklift
Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the company Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Nice To Haves

Ability to read engineered drawings
National Certification

Responsibilities

Inspects surface for holes, objects, and levelness.
Assembles scaffold consisting of guardrails, mid-rails, braces, planks, toe boards, screens and/or wheels.
Positions scaffold by rolling it into place or erecting in place.
Secures scaffold to permanent structure if required.
Performs other assembly types which may include hard barricades, strong backs, engineered scaffold, stairways, etc.
Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
Comply with company and client job site safety requirements.
