About The Position

Turner Industries Group is looking for experienced Scaffold Builders for maintenance work in the Gregory, TX area. Must be able to pass craft test or hold NCCER Certified/Plus credential. Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.

Requirements

High school or equivalent
One to four years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level)
Ability to read engineered drawings preferred
Ability to read and write
Ability to recognize and report safety hazards
Applying basic mathematical skills
Planning work and selecting proper tools
Comparing and understanding differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures and objects
Picturing and evaluating solid objects from drawing or diagrams using standards that can be measured or checked
Ability to communicate with others effectively
Ability to work in a team and get along with others
Ability to learn new tasks
Remember processes, maintain focus, and complete tasks
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Manage time and expectations across multiple projects
Ensure that work is done in a consistent manner and in compliance with directions

Responsibilities

Inspects surface for holes, objects and levelness
Assembles scaffold consisting of guardrails, mid-rails, braces, planks, toe boards, screens and wheels
Positions scaffold by rolling it into place
Secures scaffold to permanent structure by tying
