About The Position
Austin Industrial is hiring a Scaffold Builder Leadman to supervise the construction, assembly, maintenance, and dismantling of tubular scaffolding or other temporary structures. The role determines the type of scaffold needed and provides instruction on its installation. The employee must follow OSHA, site-specific, and Austin Industrial requirements when erecting and navigating scaffolding, and perform a final inspection of completed scaffolding. Other duties may be assigned. Applicants must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States; Austin Industrial cannot sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position. Education requirements are not specified. The role requires 3–5 years of journeyman-level experience.

Responsibilities
- Determine the type of scaffold needed and instruct on proper installation.
- Oversee the transport of tubular scaffold or other structural material and erect the scaffold as instructed by the scaffold builder.
- Hoist scaffolding materials to erect temporary structures.
- Secure and level locking sections of scaffolding material.
- Secure scaffolding to permanent structures for added stability.
- Follow OSHA, site-specific, and Austin Industrial requirements for erecting and navigating scaffolding.
- Supervise scaffolding dismantling when properly communicated.
- Inspect and properly stow scaffolding material after dismantling.
- Perform a final inspection of completed scaffolding.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
