About The Position

The Industrial Scaffold Builder assists with the construction, dismantling, and repair of wooden and metal scaffolds and related auxiliary structures. This is a maintenance position. The role may also involve helping other crafts when scaffold work is not active and completing miscellaneous construction projects.

Requirements

• Knowledge of materials, tools, and processes involved in basic building techniques and form construction.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to work a full work schedule and additional overtime with little to no notification.
• Willingness and ability to follow safety rules and regulations, as well as company and site rules.
• Ability to meet all physical requirements of the position.
• Possession of required tools.
• NCCER Industrial Scaffold Builder certification.

Nice To Haves

• Current Zachry or Zachry ROF’ed employee.
• NCCER certification for Industrial Journeyman Carpenter.
• Formal or technical education.
• Experience working with scaffolding, insulation, and painting.

Responsibilities

• Identify the tools required for assigned tasks.
• Identify safety risks and precautions needed to eliminate those risks.
• Measure, mark, and cut wooden or metallic materials to specifications.
• Assist with constructing, reinforcing, and dismantling pre-constructed scaffolds.
• Assist with building wooden scaffolds and auxiliary items.
• Complete miscellaneous construction projects, including building decks, steps, bulletin boards, and other wooden structures.
• Clean up work areas.
• Assist other crafts when not actively working on scaffolding.
