About The Position

The Scaffold Builder Helper assists Scaffold Builders in the construction, assembly, maintenance, and dismantling of tubular scaffolding and other temporary structures. The role includes working at heights and supporting scaffold erection and removal under direction. Other duties may be assigned. Applicants must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States; Austin Industrial is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.

Requirements

• Legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
• Able to meet the physical demands of the job, including regularly lifting or moving up to 25 pounds and frequently lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.
• Able to perform work involving sitting, handling and reaching, standing, walking, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, and the stated vision abilities.

Nice To Haves

• Six or more months of experience in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Work at heights without fear.
• Transport tubular scaffold or other structural material and erect scaffold as instructed by the Scaffold Builder.
• Hoist scaffolding materials to erect temporary structures.
• Secure and level locking sections of scaffolding material.
• Secure scaffolding to permanent structures for added stability.
• Follow OSHA, site-specific, and Austin Industrial requirements for erecting and navigating scaffolding.
• Pass materials and tools to Journeymen as needed.
• Dismantle scaffolding when instructed through proper communication.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
