About The Position

The Scaffold Builder Helper assists Scaffold Builders with the construction, assembly, maintenance, and dismantling of tubular scaffolding and other temporary structures. The role includes transporting scaffold materials, helping erect and secure scaffolding, and passing materials and tools to journeymen. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States; Austin Industrial is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.

Nice To Haves

• Six or more months of experience in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Work at heights.
• Transport tubular scaffold or other structural materials and erect scaffolding as instructed by the scaffold builder.
• Hoist scaffolding materials to erect temporary structures.
• Secure and level locking sections of scaffolding material.
• Secure scaffolding to permanent structures for added stability.
• Follow OSHA, site-specific, and Austin Industrial requirements for erecting and navigating scaffolding.
• Pass materials and tools to journeymen as needed.
• Dismantle scaffolding when instructed after proper communication.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
