The Scaffold Builder - Carpenter will construct, assemble, maintain, and dismantle tubular scaffolding or other temporary structures. This is accomplished by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. A minimum of 2 years of experience is required in the Scaffolding craft. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

A minimum of 2 years of experience is required in the Scaffolding craft.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States.
A Valid TWIC Card and Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

3 years of experience in scaffolding is preferred.
NCCER is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Determines type of scaffold needed.
Inspects job site and all scaffold material for defects and safety hazards.
Effectively communicates safety hazards and mitigates avoidable hazards prior to construction of scaffolding.
Transports tubular scaffold or other structural material and erects the scaffold to the dimensions required.
Hoists scaffolding materials upward in order to erect temporary structure.
Properly secures and levels locking sections of scaffolding material.
Properly secures scaffold to the permanent structure for added stability.
Adheres to all OSHA, site specific and Austin Industrial requirements for the erecting and navigation of the scaffolding.
Performs final inspection of completed scaffolding.
Dismantles scaffolding when it has been properly communicated to do so.
Inspects and properly stows scaffolding material after dismantling.
Work at heights with no fear.
Other duties as assigned.
