This internship offers the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in industrial automation, working with state-of-the-art SCADA and HMI applications. You will contribute to challenging, cutting-edge projects within a leading turnkey specialty contractor.
Requirements
- Ability to work in our Eagan, MN location 5 days/week.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Understanding of industrial networking and communication protocols.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel for commissioning, startup, and customer support activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing SCADA and HMI applications for industrial automation projects.
- Develop reusable graphics, templates, faceplates, and visualization standards.
- Participate in system architecture, software design, and functional reviews.
- Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and commissioning activities.
- Troubleshoot software, communication, and control system issues during startup and operation.
- Follow KE development standards, documentation practices, and quality procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to software standards, engineering tools, and project execution.
- Additional duties as assigned.
