About The Position

SAIC is seeking an SCA Engineering Technician IV-2M to support the US Navy in Crane, IN. This position involves performing Miniature/Microminiature Electronics Repair (2M) to support the testing and repair of Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA) and Electronic Modules (EM). The role includes performing corrective maintenance on circuit cards and electronic modules by troubleshooting and repairing faulty components, conducting tests and experiments, analyzing data, and documenting findings. Responsibilities also encompass routine repair, retrofit, systems integration, calibration, and testing, as well as in-line repair and testing, and operation of test equipment. The technician will install, maintain, repair, and modify various types of equipment, including electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems. Work will be performed from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or defined plans to conduct testing, checkout, and troubleshooting. The role also involves conducting or monitoring system, subsystem, equipment, or component testing, and analyzing test results to determine valid recommendations and conclusions.

Requirements

  • HS/GED and 3 or more years’ experience
  • Current or past certification in Miniature/Microminiature Electronics Repair (2M).
  • Interim secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process
  • Must be U.S. citizen
  • Must be able to work from schematics and engineering drawings

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine repair, retrofit, systems integration, calibration and testing; in-line repair and testing; operation of test equipment
  • Installing, maintaining, repairing, and modifying various types of equipment, including electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
  • Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
  • Conduct or monitor system, subsystem, equipment or component testing
  • Analyze test results/determine valid recommendations and conclusions based on test data.
