About The Position

Parsons is looking for an individual to join the Electronics Security Systems (ESS) team as an on site Installation Tech. As an Installation Technician you will be responsible for the overall success of each Security System conversion and integration from design to close out. The successful applicant will join a team of Electronic Technicians and Programmers that install, repair, troubleshoot, modify and maintain various types of electronic equipment and related devices. The Installation Tech will apply basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by utilizing hands on experience and skills that may not be found by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents.

Requirements

All ESS site personnel are required to have knowledge in CCTV, IDS, Access Control, and Intercom Systems.
The ability to maintain a Secret clearance throughout the life of the project and report any changes to their eligibility status immediately
Highschool diploma
5+ years of experience in this field.
Demonstrate ability to apply technical knowledge of ESS principles to determine equipment malfunctions, as well as skills in restoring equipment operation.
Experience in systems such as, but not limited to, Identiv, Bosch, Aiphone, Commend, Allied Telesis and Lenel.
General understanding of applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and company directives related to building operations and work safety.

Ability to recommend changes to installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance
Prior certifications

Responsibilities

Obtain and maintain system certifications (Identiv, Bosch, Commend, Aiphone, Allied Telesis, Cisco, etc.)
Install CCV, IDS, Access Control, and Intercom Systems
Troubleshoot systems on site with Programmers and remote support from leadership
Manage conversion of equipment during and after installation
Assist in documentation of all project requirements related to barcoding, redlining project plans, etc.
