About The Position

This position is responsible for performing cashier duties in a food service environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The role involves interpreting production logs, understanding and performing various cashier processes, handling cash and credit card transactions, and maintaining accuracy and flow rates as established by the Statement of Work (SOW). The position also includes restocking items, following the Cashier Instruction Book, and performing end-of-shift cleaning duties. Other job-related duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

Able to meet requirements of the position as stated in the Statement of Work
Able to read, writes, speak, and understand/comprehend English
Able to perform basic mathematical functions, including making change and adding headcounts
Able to communicate in an effective and positive nature with patrons
Able to complete required paperwork
Successful completion of Cashier certification
Must maintain yearly ServSafe Food Handler’s certification
NACI Military background check
Drug screen

Responsibilities

Read and interpret Production Log
Properly identify products on serving line
Properly identify portion size of products
Understand and perform cashier processes (Log in/Log out, ESM customers, Cross Service customers, Cash/Contract customers/credit cards)
Handle, count, and balance change funds
Understand procedures for AF (Air Force) and company forms (AF 79 Headcount record, AF Form 645 Cash Register Adjustment, Forms Issue Log)
Maintain flow rates established by SOW
Maintain accuracy required by SOW
Restock grab and go items
Understand and follow Cashier Instruction Book
Sweep and Mop required area at the end of the shift
Perform other job-related duties as required by supervisor
