About The Position

Join our dynamic team as a School-Based Behavioral Health Clinician, providing essential mental health services and support within a school-based setting. The ideal candidate will contribute to the overall mission and goals of our organization, emphasizing respect, integrity, compassion, honesty, and community values in all activities and decisions. Our clinicians work with school-based health center staff and school personnel to: Identify, assess, and meet student behavioral/mental health needs for aged k-12 students. Improve overall student population support. Implement protocol for mental health referrals and mental health services. Present to staff and students on preventive issues and life skills. Assist in assessing for crisis and providing intervention. This position will be an FTE of .85. This position works full time hours during the school year with eight weeks off during summer vacation. Requirements

  • Graduate degree in social work, professional counseling, marriage and family therapy, or psychology.
  • Current Oregon license as a Professional Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Qualified Mental Health Professional (LPC, LPC Associate, LCSW, CSWA, LMFT, MFT Associate).
  • Two years’ experience working with children/adolescents in a behavioral/mental health setting.
  • Required to complete a criminal background check, and pre-employment drug screen once a conditional offer is accepted.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with patients, families, and care teams to develop feasible care plans within individual resources, and making referrals as needed.
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records in compliance with OAR standards, ensuring optimum patient care.
  • Identify, assess, and meet student behavioral/mental health needs for aged k-12 students.
  • Improve overall student population support.
  • Implement protocol for mental health referrals and mental health services.
  • Present to staff and students on preventive issues and life skills.
  • Assist in assessing for crisis and providing intervention.
