SBDC Tech Team Member
About The Position
The SBDC Tech Team provides digital marketing assistance, including website development, logo creation, and social media platform support, to small businesses in Erie, Crawford, Mercer, and Warren Counties. The role also involves marketing strategy development, research and analysis, and assisting business consultants. This position offers career readiness learning objectives focused on communication, critical thinking, professionalism, teamwork, and technology utilization. Students will engage directly with business consultants and clients, develop digital materials, work in a professional office environment, collaborate with teams, and utilize various software and online tools for projects.
Requirements
- Experience with WIX website development platform
- Familiar with business social media platforms
- Ability to create logos with Creative Cloud or similar software
- Good communication skills
Responsibilities
- Provide website development to Erie, Crawford, Mercer and Warren County small businesses
- Provide logo creation to Erie, Crawford, Mercer and Warren County small businesses
- Provide social media platform assistance to Erie, Crawford, Mercer and Warren County small businesses
- Provide other digital marketing assistance to Erie, Crawford, Mercer and Warren County small businesses
- Develop marketing strategies
- Conduct research and analysis
- Assist consultants as needed
- Engage directly with the business consultant and client to complete projects through face to face meetings, Zoom meetings and email communication
- Develop websites, logos and other digital materials to create a professional and consistent presence for small businesses
- Work in and act as part of a professional office environment with interactions and tasks directly with or for small business owners and SBDC business consultants
- Work with the SBDC consultants and small business owners as a team to complete various projects
- Utilize various databases and software to develop websites, social media platform presence, logos and other materials for small businesses
- Use online tools for communication and projects
