About The Position

The SBA Operations Analyst manages a portfolio of clients and develops new business by soliciting qualified prospects for government-guaranteed lending. The analyst serves as the primary financial advisor to clients—including businesses, business owners, and individuals aligned with Pinnacle’s market segmentation—and helps other Pinnacle Advisors with lending transactions before completion. The position supports clients and prospects, administers and reports on the SBA loan portfolio, processes loan activity, and maintains the accuracy of associated records and accounts. It also requires attention to role-specific risk policies and regulations, timely escalation of known or suspected violations, and collaboration with colleagues to deliver distinctive service. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required; a finance- or business-related field is preferred.
At least 10 years of experience in banking or financial services.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) or related software.
Broad knowledge of bank products and services and consumer and commercial loan documentation.
Knowledge of SBA Standard Operating Procedures and USDA program parameters.
Knowledge of federal and state banking regulations and compliance requirements related to lending, loan transaction processing, and internal audits.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Effective analytical ability and strong attention to detail.
Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to adapt to change, work independently, and manage multiple priorities.
Excellent client service skills and tact and diplomacy when dealing with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

Provide distinctive service to clients and prospects in person and by telephone; respond to inquiries and resolve client issues.
Support the firm-wide three-ring standard for answering calls.
Prepare required SBA loan portfolio reports and monitor the portfolio for accuracy.
Serve as the subject matter expert for completing and submitting the SBA 1502 report, using discretion in reporting to the SBA; clear errors through the SBA 1502 dashboard.
Reconcile monthly SBA-monitored General Ledger accounts and ensure accurate accounting of loan fees and collected deposits; upload completed reconciliations to Skystem monthly.
Board new loans and update existing loan data in PCFS Loan Manager.
Process loan payments, maintain the payment log, and balance the Due to Participate GL with the Guidehouse Fiscal Transfer Agent DDA.
Pull online banking payment reports and process ACH payments daily.
Process loan payoffs, note modifications, and deferrals; send required payments to the SBA via 172 accurately and on time.
Complete and submit the monthly PPP 1502 report.
Assist the SBA Operations Manager with special projects and provide backup for loan sale activities as needed.
Address clients’ business and personal financial needs and refer them to specialty areas such as Trust, Investments, Insurance, and Treasury Management when appropriate.
Observe applicable policies, procedures, laws, regulations, and risk limits; report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely manner.
Assist other team members as needed to ensure distinctive service.
Perform other related duties as required.
