About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate a variety of saw equipment to accurately cut lumber products according to work orders and production specifications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to maintaining quality and safety standards throughout the production process.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; however, candidates with less formal education and relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
Up to one month of related manufacturing, lumber, warehouse, or production experience preferred.
Ability to read and follow work orders, instructions, and safety guidelines.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Review work orders and production specifications to determine required cuts and measurements.
Set up and adjust saw equipment, including pop-up saws, miter saws, web saws, and other cutting machinery.
Adjust saw speeds and feed roll settings to ensure efficient and accurate operation.
Monitor the automatic feeding of lumber into saws and manually position materials as needed.
Inspect cut materials to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
Stack, organize, and prepare finished lumber for the next stage of production.
Report dull, damaged, or malfunctioning saw blades and equipment to supervisors.
Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
