The Sawperson is a field-based role responsible for supporting utility vegetation management operations through the safe and effective cutting, clearing, and processing of vegetation. This position focuses on brush clearing, tree cutting, and right-of-way (ROW) work in support of transmission line, distribution line, and wildfire mitigation projects. This role is more advanced than a Groundsperson and requires demonstrated proficiency with chainsaw operation in utility or vegetation management environments. Sawpersons work closely with forepersons, equipment operators, climbers, and ground crews to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all project specifications and safety standards. Regular travel is required for this role, with assignments involving 80–90% travel to project sites. Per Diem is offered at $100 per workday.
