Saw Shear Operator
About The Position
Position Summary: Level One: Operators work under direct supervision to prepare slugs for forging. Doing so requires basic competencies with hand tools, operation of saws, and shears in order to produce slugs of proper dimensions. Operator will demonstrate competencies in interpreting work routers and instructions, basic shop math, as well as using hand tools and safely operating power equipment. Typically 0-1 Years of Experience with evidence of past experience working in a manufacturing environment using a variety of shop tools. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction. Operate saws and shear to produce material for forging Sanding and polishing operation on Outer Diameter Sanding Machine Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- The ability to read and write English.
- Basic shop math
- Basic powered equipment operation
- Basic measuring tools
- Ability to lift up to 35lbs.
Nice To Haves
- 2-3 years experience preferred
- GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.
