About The Position

At Raytheon, the foundation of everything we do is rooted in our values and a higher calling – to help our nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression. We bring the strength of more than 100 years of experience and renowned engineering expertise to meet the needs of today’s mission and stay ahead of tomorrow’s threat. Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. The RF Microelectronics, Module Design, and Foundry Services Department (RFMicro) develops, designs, and manufactures acoustic and compound semiconductor devices, microwave/millimeter-wave integrated circuits, and modules for defense applications. There is an exciting opportunity in the department for a SAW Process Engineering Technician to join the crystal fabrication team supporting the product and process integration of the Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) product line. As a member of the RFM Department, the individual in this role will be responsible for the fabrication processes, process development, and device yield of the SAW crystal foundry. The engineering technician will work across multiple functions, including quality, operations, and engineering to ensure product quality, yield, and cost is maintained. Presence on the manufacturing floor is required for quick resolution of issues and quick reaction time to prevent interruption of customer commitments. The ideal candidate for this role would have a basic understanding of SAW devices, experience in acoustic device fabrication and test, and a broad understanding of microelectronic manufacturing techniques such as deposition, etch, photolithography, or device packaging. The candidate should possess a drive to learn and improve the areas where they work and a proven ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail. The ability to maintain organized and work well in small cross-functional teams is essential to success. This 1st shift role will be 100% on-site and based in Andover, MA.
