About The Position

We are seeking a Saw Operator to work in our Monroe, NC facility. In this position you are responsible for cutting orders to meet customer expectations using a variety of saws including abrasive saws, MFL saws, and band saws. A successful candidate will demonstrate an attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

This is a night shift position from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, working on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule. You will work 2 days, have 2 days off, work 3 days; then 2 days off, work 2 days, then have 3 days off. Training will be 6:00am to 6:00pm on the same rotating 2-2-3 schedule.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills
• Basic math skills
• Time management skills

Nice To Haves

• One (1) year of manufacturing experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Cutting orders to meet customer expectations using a variety of saws including abrasive saws, MFL saws, and band saws.
• Cutting samples of metal
• Operate as necessary to cut off prescribed sections and properly dispose
• Set up machines, change blades, clean machine, and perform simple machine maintenance as needed
• Read and interpret milling instructions “MIs”
• Use tape measure and other measuring devices
• Stamping materials with proper ID and put slings around the finished products
• Maintain logs and records
