The Saw Operator will read blueprints, make adjustments, set stops or guides, and look for defects in parts while operating a metal saw, poly saw, or shear. This role involves starting, stopping, and setting up machines safely, operating the machine while monitoring for defects, and using measurement tools to ensure accuracy. The operator will also complete quality checks, verify material types before cutting, perform routine maintenance on machines such as changing blades and cleaning sensors, and operate a forklift and crane. Additionally, the role includes assisting with packing and transporting finished pieces, accurately completing paperwork, and maintaining 6S standards in all work stations. Other duties may be assigned by a supervisor.
