Requirements
- Basic math skills and ability to work with decimals and fractions.
- Ability to lift and maneuver 50 pounds.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with basic measuring tools.
Responsibilities
- Providing machining areas with workable material and performing daily inventory transactions.
- Entering equipment settings and calling up machining programs based on a route sheet process.
- Arranging the part, initiating, and supervising the production operation to ensure smooth running and adherence to technical requirements.
- Ensuring the flow and/or straightening of parts in line with operational procedures and recommendations regarding safety and the environment.
- Conducting self-checks and/or cross-checks using suitable measuring instruments during production, based on instruction sheets, and signaling any quality issues.
- Ensuring required traceability (product/process) and reporting on work performed.
- Participating in improvement groups and assisting with the induction and training of colleagues in equipment use.
- Carrying out first-level maintenance on equipment and maintaining a clean and tidy workspace.
- Detecting and reporting unsafe situations.
- Moving and manipulating large graphite blocks with a fork truck.
- Operating band saws and other medium equipment safely and efficiently.
- Working well within a team.
- Promoting, demonstrating, and emphasizing safety.
- Visually inspecting parts and completing inspection documentation.
- Conducting oneself as a model Mersen employee and treating employees with courtesy and respect.
- Supporting Mersen company policies, rules, and core values.
