About The Position
Ensures the safe operation of a chop saw. Cuts wood stock to correct length and measurements. This role also involves general labor, operating a forklift, and adhering to safety procedures.
Requirements
- High school education
- Manufacturing experience required
- Must be able to lift heavy objects
- Saw operator and/or Machinist background
Responsibilities
- Cuts material as instructed
- Maintains equipment and ensures work area is always clean and safe
- Monitor and maintain tooling quality and functionality
- Orders and maintains proper inventory levels of materials
- Performs basic preventative maintenance on saw equipment
- General labor
- Takes direction from Group Leader and Supervisors
- Assures compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures and with applicable federal, State and local codes, OSHA regulations and requirements
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Operates of forklift
- Knowledge of Lock-out/Tag-out procedures
- Prioritize, schedule, and review work
