Saturday School Teacher / Substitute
About The Position
With an immediate start date, we are seeking Saturday School Teachers / Substitutes. We are looking for qualified educators with native-level German proficiency to teach and/or substitute teach in our German Saturday School. Teachers will provide instruction to one or more of the following age groups: Preschool, Kindergarten, Elementary School, Middle School, High School, and Adults. Candidates should demonstrate strong commitment, flexibility, reliability, and a passion for teaching language learners of varying ages and proficiency levels. In addition to classroom instruction, teachers support student progress through lesson planning, preparation, and grading, and contribute to a positive and engaging learning environment.
Requirements
- Native-level proficiency in German
- Training and experience in teaching German as a language
- Experience working with one or more of the listed age groups
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons
- Experience with differentiated instruction to support diverse learners
- Availability to work on Saturdays
- Valid U.S. work authorization required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Reliability and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
