About The Position

The NBCUniversal Academic Year internship program offers paid opportunities for interns to work on real projects, engage in a collaborative culture, and receive support for professional growth over two full semesters. The program aims to provide impactful work experiences and skill development for individuals passionate about media, entertainment, and technology. The Saturday Night Live (SNL) internship is part of this program, focusing on the Emmy Award-winning late-night comedy showcase. Since its inception in 1975, SNL has been a significant influence on contemporary comedy and has launched numerous careers. Interns may be placed in various areas including General Production, Film Unit, Music, Casting, Photo, Talent, Weekend Update, and Script.

Requirements

  • Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program (September 2026 through April 2027)
  • Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits)
  • Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States
  • Must be available to work 24-32 hours per week from September 21, 2026 – May 23, 2027
  • Must be willing to work in New York, NY
  • Any candidate receiving an internship offer must complete I-9 form with Social Security number within 3 days of hire
