This role is for a Network Engineering and Operations Engineer responsible for the installation, monitoring, testing, and maintenance of earth station telecommunications and associated equipment. The position involves working with Radio Frequency (RF), Intermediate Frequency (IF), and baseband technologies, performing testing and diagnostic procedures, troubleshooting digital services, and ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures. The engineer will monitor vendor activities, remote monitoring of other teleports, and manage network anomalies and customer issues, including service level monitoring and escalation. Support for the installation, configuration, and testing of satellite and network equipment, as well as coordination of service turn-up with various parties, is also a key responsibility. The role requires performing site operations with minimal supervision, initiating emergency restoration procedures, and monitoring earth station and terrestrial systems. Establishing good working relationships with internal and external departments is essential for timely task completion. Physical requirements include climbing ladders, working aloft, distinguishing wire and cable colors, and lifting up to 100 lbs.
