About The Position

Lockheed Martin is seeking a talented level 2 Satellite Mission Engineer with an active TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance to work from our Aurora, CO location. This role is within the Double Eagle organization supporting the Ground Engineering Team as a Ground Engineer. There are multiple technical career paths you can take on this team, and depending on which path you take, you may: Provide ground system oversight Provide troubleshooting, problem identification, analysis, problem resolution, and maintenance activities for hardware and software issues Provide integration of new system functionalities Provide hardware maintenance and troubleshooting Be responsible for multiple program processes and documentation management Provide project portfolio management for the greater team Act as a program authority and spokesperson for ground related issues and coordinate/collaborate directly with numerous program teams Participate in and/or lead working groups and make presentations/recommendations to customers and the leadership team on detailed technical aspects of the system Potentially be on-call 24/7 on a rotational basis within a 2 hour recall Candidate should have ground engineering/operations experience, advanced communication skills, and a strong desire to help the greater team be successful. This is an EMERGING PROFESSIONAL (level 2) CAREER ROLE where candidates typically require 1+ years of professional experience and a BS degree. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other technical degree; equivalent professional experience or relevant job experience in lieu of a degree may be considered
Must have a demonstrated ability to cultivate and develop effective customer relationships and work with senior technical management
Ability to learn and troubleshoot complex systems
Basic programming skills using UNIX/LINUX operating system
Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph required for consideration

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with a customer base on a program for complex systems, software development, and issue resolution
Experience in conducting technical investigations and providing results to leadership team

Responsibilities
