Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Instructor/Curriculum Developer – USSF Guardian Enlisted Training
About The Position
Aleut Federal is seeking a Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Instructor/Curriculum Developer to support the 533d Training Squadron’s USSF Guardian Enlisted Training (GET) initiative at Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA. This role is crucial for refining the training of enlisted Guardians to better prepare the USSF for dominating in the space-domain. The enlisted Guardians are technical specialists who execute orders, serve as leaders, weapon system experts, and advisors across satellite operations, cyberspace operations, and intelligence operations. This position will contribute to the development, education, and training of the enlisted force through Initial Skills Training, aligning with the Chief of Space Operations’ vision for transforming initial skills training.
Requirements
- Skilled communicator, experienced in providing platform instruction to an academically diverse audience.
- Experience developing curriculum using Instructional Systems Design (ISD) standards.
- Prior completion of AETC Basic Instructor Course (BIC) or other service equivalent, accepted by CCAF or ability to obtain a CCAF accredited BIC certification within 3 months after employment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
- Active or current Top-Secret Clearance and SCI eligibility required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and instruct SATCOM curriculum to include EM spectrum, SATCOM architecture, payload operations, spacecraft operations, communication support, and EMI resolution and mitigation.
- Assess and mentor students.
- Support integrated events, guest instruction, and multi-course instruction.
- Support mission integration and Graduation Exercise (GRADEX) activities.
- Participate in curriculum reviews, agile course development and maintenance efforts.
- Maintain LMS records and student documentation.
- Participate in faculty development and continuous improvement activities.
- Coordinate activities with Contract PM and government supervisory personnel.
- Additional duties as assigned.
