About The Position

Test Takers is seeking passionate, energetic, and bright individuals to join their professional tutoring team. Tutors will work with students in Westchester county homes or at the Test Takers office located at 585 Plandome, Manhasset. The company provides great training and ongoing support, with compensation ranging from $40-$60 per hour. Test Takers has been providing SAT classes since 2000 and, under new ownership and a partnership with AJ Tutoring, is now offering customized one-on-one tutoring for the SAT and various academic subjects at its new Manhasset office.

Requirements

• 4 year college degree from a great university
• Expertise in a high school academic subject
• College graduate
• Conscientious, punctual, reliable, and organized
• Excellent communication skills
• Proactive and efficient
• Team-oriented and coachable
• Enthusiastic and positive
• Commitment to a minimum of 10 tutoring hours per week
• Reliable transportation to travel to homes in Westchester county

Responsibilities

• Meet students in person
• Tutor students in SAT preparation and high school academic subjects
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
• Perform administrative work
• Travel to homes in Westchester county
• Tutor during after-school hours, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends
• Work at Test Takers through the end of the 2026/27 school year
