About The Position
Top Score Education, a boutique tutoring and test-prep company founded in 2004, is seeking part-time SAT/ACT tutors for its DC-area team. The company specializes in personalized 1-on-1 tutoring, both in-home and virtual, and focuses on building strong relationships to achieve academic results. This role offers schedule flexibility, competitive pay, and opportunities for growth within the company, including multi-subject tutoring and leadership positions. The position involves delivering engaging tutoring sessions, designing lesson plans, communicating with students and parents, collaborating with the team, and completing a comprehensive paid training program.
Requirements
- Scored 96th percentile or higher on the SAT and/or ACT
- 2+ years of successful SAT/ACT tutoring experience
- Extremely reliable, organized, and responsive
- Reliable car and clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check
- Evening/weekend availability

Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 2-hour private SAT/ACT sessions in students' homes
- Design tailored lesson plans that target each student's unique strengths and weaknesses
- Build strong rapport with students and parents through clear, proactive communication
- Collaborate with our team to track progress and continuously improve strategies
- Complete our comprehensive paid training program (50-60 hours)
