About The Position

Tutor Doctor Chandler-Gilbert-Ahwatukee is hiring SAT tutors and ACT tutors for in-home and online test prep tutoring across the East Valley. This role allows you to make a meaningful difference in students' lives by preparing them for the SAT and ACT exams, without the burden of managing the business aspects of tutoring. Our mission is to help prepare today's youth to become tomorrow's successful adults.

Requirements

• Current college enrollment or a completed college degree.
• Strong command of SAT and/or ACT content areas (math, reading, writing, science reasoning).
• Background as a teacher, education professional, or test prep specialist.
• High personal scores on AP exams, SAT or ACT.
• Ability to adapt instruction to different learning styles and pacing needs.
• Reliability, professionalism, and consistent follow-through.
• Reliable transportation for in-home tutoring assignments.
• Understanding of testing and pacing strategies.

Nice To Haves

• Experience tutoring for platforms like Varsity Tutors, Wyzant, or working for learning centers like Mathnasium or Sylvan.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home and online test prep tutoring for SAT and ACT exams.
• Prepare students to improve their scores and build confidence.
• Adapt instruction to different learning styles and pacing needs.
• Build meaningful, long-term 1:1 relationships with students.
• Utilize a test prep course with thousands of practice problems and practice tests.

• Up to $40 per hour for select students and specialized assignments
