About The Position

Now Hiring for Part-time 2026-2027 SAS Site Assistant, Mornings & Afternoons - Nashville Classical West Elementary School for our School Age Programs! This is NOT a temporary or summer-only position. Pay Range starts at $15 per hour (or more depending on the childcare experience listed in the application or resume). Shifts: Must be available Monday through Friday, Before & After School Care (6:30am to 8:30am & 2pm to 6pm). Are you passionate about working with kids and making a difference in their lives? Requirements

• Minimum Age: 18
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Enthusiastic, organized, and team-oriented individuals with a passion for youth development.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills with the ability to multitask.
• Must be available Monday through Friday
• Must be able to commit to ongoing employment during the 2026–2027 school year
• Orientation, DHS Background Check, Fingerprinting, Abuse Registry Check, health forms, training sessions, and references. (Before your first shift)
• CPR/First Aid/AED (Infant/Pediatric). (Within 30 days of hire)

Responsibilities

• Actively lead and engage a group of 15–20 children in activities, inside and outside.
• Set up and transform program spaces into child-friendly environments and ensure cleanliness.
• Help implement a quality curriculum aligned with YMCA guidelines.
• Build positive relationships with YMCA staff, school personnel, and families.
• Ensure site licensing and quality standards are maintained.
