About The Position

We are seeking an experienced SAS Grid Administrator to support and maintain a highly available (HA) dual-site SAS 9.4 GRID environment. This role is responsible for administering SAS infrastructure, supporting production environments, troubleshooting job failures, managing users and servers, and ensuring reliable batch and ad hoc processing. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in SAS administration, Oracle databases, Linux scripting, and production support.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience administering SAS GRID environments.
  • Expertise with SAS Management Console, Metadata Server, and Metadata Repository.
  • Experience with job scheduling and load balancing.
  • Strong knowledge of Base SAS, SAS Macros, and SAS/ACCESS to Oracle.
  • Strong Oracle database knowledge with SQL programming expertise.
  • Experience with Linux shell scripting and Crontab scheduling.
  • Experience working within formal SDLC and change management processes.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience developing and debugging complex SAS ETL processes against Oracle.
  • Experience automating complex business processes.
  • Experience supporting multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of SAS and Oracle performance tuning.
  • Experience installing and administering SAS servers.
  • Familiarity with Altair SLC Hub.
  • Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, and support a highly available SAS 9.4 GRID environment.
  • Monitor and support SAS, Oracle, and SQL Server batch and ad hoc processing.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, including job failures, connectivity, permissions, and scheduling.
  • Support SAS, Oracle, and SQL Server development activities.
  • Manage SAS Management Console, Metadata Server, and Metadata Repository.
  • Configure and maintain job scheduling, workload balancing, and system performance.
  • Follow SDLC standards and change management processes.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
