A day in the life… As the SAP Supervisor, you will serve as the key liaison between the ERP system and production teams, acting as the local subject matter expert (SME) for SAP. In this role, you will lead the training and development of plant personnel, ensuring system proficiency through coaching, troubleshooting support, and ongoing education. You will identify and implement opportunities to enhance system utilization and streamline processes, driving continuous improvement and maximizing the value of the SAP platform. As the local owner of related business processes, you will be responsible for monitoring, documenting, and reporting performance metrics to plant leadership, providing insights that support operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 18 years or older.
  • SAP ERP.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to speak, read, and write English fluently, with or without an accommodation.
  • Previous experience leading or supervising others.

  • Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.

Responsibilities

  • Plant level SAP BPL – Business Process Leader and expert in shop floor SAP transactions.
  • Responsible for all process order reviews and closure.
  • Develop and maintain error logs reporting to plant management weekly.
  • Work with individuals, team leaders, managers, and peers to learn departmental needs and help to achieve organizational SAP goals.
  • Coordinate with departmental leaders to provide initial and ongoing SAP training of plant personnel.
  • Provide validation of end user mapping, class courses and execute training for material flow processes when needed.
  • Build, maintain and own plant SAP competencies matrixes.
  • Improve daily metrics by governing SAP transactions, developing and implementing auditing systems to track performance.
  • Identify and correct failed system transactions through detailed research, analysis, and report generation.
  • Complete validation of historical data to support lean principles, providing root cause for reconciling inventories, updating, and owning the root cause, corrective action spreadsheets.
  • Lead plant Continuous Improvement projects in collaboration with Corporate BPL.
  • Update work instructions and other training material as warranted.
  • Develop and implement plant level KPIs with daily reporting.
  • Assist in all exception scenarios.
  • Maintain cadence of communication with Corporate BPL.
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure product quality and maintain compliance with food safety standards.
  • Complete and follow FSQA training and programs to comply with regulatory requirements, ensure consumer safety, and support the plant’s food safety and quality objectives.
  • Promptly report and take appropriate action on any observed or potential food safety hazards, process deviations, or non-conformities by notifying the designated plant supervisor, in accordance with your role and responsibilities.
  • Actively contributes to the continuous improvement of the company’s Food Safety Culture through engagement and actions aligned with your role.
