About The Position

The SAP S/4HANA Sales and Distribution Functional Analyst at Applied Medical plays a critical role in supporting and enhancing global business systems that enable sales order fulfillment, and customer operations across multiple regions. This position serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP S/4HANA) configurations align with operational needs and long-term growth strategies. As an SAP S/4HANA Sales and Distribution Functional Analyst, the role partners closely with business specialists across the United States, Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia-Pacific regions. The SAP S/4HANA Sales and Distribution Functional Analyst contributes to enterprise system stability, process optimization, and scalable solutions by translating business requirements into functional designs, configuring SAP Sales and Distribution, and collaborating with Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) developers and other information technology teams.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or Management Information Systems.
  • Bring a minimum of four years of hands-on experience working with SAP S/4HANA Sales and Distribution or SAP S/4HANA in full lifecycle implementations.
  • Demonstrate experience in a client-facing, internal consulting, or enterprise business analyst role.
  • Apply strong business process design capabilities within SAP S/4HANA environments.
  • Show experience working with integrated enterprise resource planning systems across multiple SAP modules.
  • Configure SAP S/4HANA Sales and Distribution across core functional areas.
  • Design integrated solutions across enterprise resource planning modules with knowledge of system integration touchpoints.
  • Support data migration, system testing, and hypercare stabilization activities.
  • Produce functional specifications, design documentation, and test scripts to support development and deployment.
  • Apply working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA integration with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Relationship Management/Microsoft D365 CRM and SAP Global Trade Services.
  • Operate effectively in Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 11 compliant environments.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with business users, technical teams, and leadership across regions.
  • Manage multiple priorities through strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
  • Train and mentor team members to support team development and knowledge transfer.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with S/4HANA in Sales and Distribution.
  • SAP Certification in one or more application area.
  • Experience with mobile application development using SAP Fiori.
  • Project Management Certification or demonstrated project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement SAP S/4HANA solutions across projects and support initiatives within the Sales and Distribution functional domain.
  • Collaborate with global business counterparts to gather requirements, translate business needs into functional specifications, and deliver effective SAP S/4HANA system solutions.
  • Configure SAP S/4HANA Sales and Distribution functionality, including order management, pricing, billing, product availability check, and rebates.
  • Support internal customers by aligning business process design with SAP S/4HANA configuration and system capabilities.
  • Partner with ABAP developers and other technical teams to design, build, and deploy integrated software solutions.
  • Execute testing activities, proof of concept development, data migration, and cutover planning to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide level two application support for sales and field systems, resolving issues and supporting critical incidents affecting global users.
  • Develop and maintain functional design documents, test scripts, and training materials to support system implementations and enhancements.
