About The Position

We are seeking an experienced SAP SD EDI Consultant to join our team in Houston, Texas. This is an onsite contract role focused on managing large-scale EDI projects and ensuring seamless integration of SAP SD processes with external trading partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP SD configuration, EDI mapping, and troubleshooting, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively to ensure successful project delivery and ongoing support.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 full-cycle SAP SD implementations.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in configuring and supporting Sales & Distribution (SD) processes.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale EDI projects.
• Experience leading and managing end-to-end EDI integrations for SD transaction sets (such as 850/855/856/810/410).
• Working experience with EDI mapping documentation, specifically focusing on field-level data transformation between SAP IDocs and partner EDI formats.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve EDI-related issues for both inbound and outbound documents.
• Hands-on experience testing with third-party EDI platforms or middleware solutions.
• Ability to work with business users, technical developers, cross-functional team members, and external trading partners.
• Expert Configurator in Order to Cash process (Sales orders, Deliveries and Billing).
• Expert Configurator in Business Partner configuration.
• Expert Configurator in Partner Profiles setup and maintenance.
• Expert Configurator in IDoc processing and troubleshooting.
• Expert Configurator in CMIR (Customer-Material Info Record) management.
• Expert Configurator in Output determination and message control within SD.
• SAP S4 HANA experience.

Responsibilities

• Configure and support SAP SD processes, including Order to Cash (Sales orders, Deliveries, Billing), Business Partner configuration, Partner Profiles setup and maintenance, IDoc processing and troubleshooting, CMIR management, and Output determination/message control.
• Manage large-scale EDI projects, including onboarding, testing, and exchanging EDI messages with multiple external trading partners.
• Lead and manage end-to-end EDI integrations for SD transaction sets (e.g., 850/855/856/810/410).
• Perform EDI mapping, focusing on field-level data transformation between SAP IDocs and partner EDI formats.
• Troubleshoot and resolve EDI-related issues for both inbound and outbound documents in a timely manner.
• Prepare functional specifications for custom developments and enhancements related to SD and EDI integration.
• Conduct testing with third-party EDI platforms or middleware solutions.
• Collaborate with business users, technical developers, cross-functional team members, and external trading partners to ensure successful project delivery and ongoing support.
• Work independently on projects and provide support.
