The SAP Archiving SME is responsible for configuring SAP classical archiving and ILM (Information Lifecycle Management) archiving objects across multiple SAP modules. This role supports archiving operations by monitoring job execution, resolving technical issues, and identifying appropriate test data for unit, integration, and user acceptance testing. The consultant will work closely with functional teams to validate results and ensure archiving processes align with business expectations. You will contribute to documentation, support requirement refinement, and help identify data optimization opportunities. The role also includes administrative responsibilities for the OpenText Archive Server—installing updates, performing system upgrades, applying patches, resolving software issues, and monitoring system health to ensure optimal performance.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of SAP configuration experience
  • 2+ years SAP archiving or ILM experience
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance

Responsibilities

  • Configure SAP classical and ILM archiving objects across various modules
  • Monitor archiving jobs and resolve issues related to job execution
  • Identify test data for unit, integration, and UAT cycles; collaborate with functional teams to validate results
  • Create implementation and testing documentation
  • Work with functional and infrastructure teams to refine requirements and identify data optimization improvements
  • Administer OpenText Archive Server and related modules, including installation, patching, upgrades, and issue resolution
  • Monitor system performance to ensure the OpenText solution is functioning properly; adjust configurations as needed
