About The Position

The SAP Program Manager oversees the governance, planning, execution, change management, risk management, and delivery of SAP and related projects and operations within the organization. SAP (Systems, Applications, and Products) is an ERP software used to manage business processes across functions like finance, procurement, human resources, and logistics. In this role, the SAP Program Manager ensures that operation, implementation, upgrade, and support activities align with the Municipality’s business goals. Additionally, the SAP Program Manager oversees the Municipality’s SAP operations and works closely with the Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO) to shape its strategic direction. The SAP Program Manager coordinates all aspects of program execution and Service Level Agreement (SLA) management, while maintaining strong relationships with business units and vendors to ensure that SAP and related systems effectively supports the Municipality's needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Administration or similar discipline and eight (8) years of information technology experience in a field appropriate to the position.
• OR Associate's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Administration or similar discipline and ten (10) years of information technology experience in a field appropriate to the position.
• Satisfactory background check which includes criminal, education, and employment history at time of hire.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work and accept employment in the United States.
• The Municipality of Anchorage is not able to provide any type of sponsorship, including Student Visas and Employment Visas, under any circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Perform other duties as assigned.
