About The Position

The organization requires accurate and transparent product cost calculations to support pricing decisions, profitability analysis, inventory valuation, and financial reporting. SAP Product Costing (CO-PC) must calculate standard, actual, and planned product costs in alignment with corporate finance policies. The scope includes Material Standard Cost Estimation, Cost Component Structure, Activity Type Planning, Overhead Calculation via Costing Sheets, Work Center/Resource Rates, WIP Calculation and Settlement, Variance Calculation, and optional Material Ledger Actual Costing. Integration with FI, CO, PP, MM, and SD is essential.

Requirements

Deep understanding of SAP Product Costing (CO-PC) functionalities, including Material Standard Cost Estimation (CK11N/CK40N), Cost Component Structure, Activity Type Planning (KP26), Costing Sheets, WIP Calculation and Settlement, and Variance Calculation (KKS1/KKS2).
Experience with Material Ledger Actual Costing is required if the functionality is to be implemented.
Proficiency in configuring and maintaining master data for Product Costing, including Cost Component Structure, Costing Variants, Overhead Groups, Costing Sheets, Activity Types, Work Centers, BOMs, Routings, and Material Master (costing view).
Strong knowledge of integration points between SAP CO-PC and FI, CO, PP, MM, and SD modules.
Experience in developing and configuring SAP reports, including Cost Component Reports (CK13N, CK11N), Production Variance reports, WIP reports, and Actual vs. Standard cost comparison reports.
Understanding of SAP controls and audit requirements related to product costing, including release restrictions and master data change logging.
Familiarity with IFRS/GAAP inventory valuation rules.
Experience supporting multi-plant, multi-company costing.
Ability to ensure performance of costing runs (CK40N) within batch windows.
Experience with SAP ECC/S4HANA and SAP Fiori or BW for reporting.

Nice To Haves

Experience with process industries (recipes/master recipes).
Knowledge of automated FI revaluation postings (OBYC – PRD).
Experience with settlement rules derivation based on material type and order type.
Familiarity with SAP Fiori or BW for reporting.

Responsibilities

Configure and maintain SAP Product Costing (CO-PC) modules to meet business requirements for accurate product cost calculations.
Develop and implement Material Standard Cost Estimation processes using CK11N/CK40N for raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished goods.
Define and manage Cost Component Structures (CCS) to break down costs into materials, labor, machine, overhead, and subcontracting.
Set up and manage Activity Type Planning (KP26) and Work Center/Resource Rates.
Configure Overhead Calculation using Costing Sheets based on material origin indicator and production plant.
Implement and manage Work-In-Process (WIP) calculation and settlement processes.
Configure and manage Variance Calculation (KKS1/KKS2) for production orders.
Implement Material Ledger Actual Costing (if required) for capturing actual price differences and calculating periodic unit prices.
Ensure seamless integration between SAP Product Costing and other modules such as FI, CO, PP, MM, and SD.
Develop and maintain reporting solutions for Cost Component Reports, Production variances, WIP reports, and Actual vs. Standard cost comparisons.
Implement controls and audit requirements, including user authorization for cost estimate release and logging of master data changes.
Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP inventory valuation rules.
Support multi-plant, multi-company costing scenarios.
Optimize costing run performance (CK40N) for batch execution within defined windows.
