About The Position

First Quality is seeking a highly skilled SAP PLM Solution Engineer to design and build solutions in the product lifecycle management (PLM) and master data management (MDM) domains. The role supports product development, engineering, and manufacturing processes by delivering innovative, scalable, and integrated solutions. It focuses on new solution design and development rather than routine patching, upgrades, or system maintenance.

The engineer will work with business and technical stakeholders to develop SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) and PLM capabilities, integrate PLM tools with SAP ERP, establish data governance frameworks, and improve product lifecycle processes. The role also includes documenting solutions, sharing knowledge, and training business users and technical support teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in SAP MDM and MDG solution design and implementation.
• At least 3 years of experience with PLM tools such as SAP PLM, LeverX IPS, or similar.
• Strong understanding of SAP materials, vendor, and customer data structures, BOM management, and engineering change management.
• Proven experience building and deploying new solutions rather than focusing on system maintenance.
• Proficiency in SAP MDG configuration and customization.
• Knowledge of PLM system architecture and integration methods, including IDoc, BAPI, API, and middleware.
• Experience with data modeling, workflow design, and integration development.
• Experience with BRFplus for maintaining business validations.
• Understanding of manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Innovative mindset focused on delivering business value.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of new functionality in SAP MDG and PLM systems.
• Develop and implement integrations between PLM tools, such as SAP PLM or LeverX IPS, and SAP ERP systems.
• Gather requirements from stakeholders, define specifications, and translate them into technical solutions.
• Establish and implement master data governance frameworks, workflows, and approval processes.
• Define and enforce data standards, naming conventions, and validation rules to ensure data quality.
• Improve product lifecycle processes through system enhancements and automation.
• Identify opportunities to optimize engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain processes using PLM and MDM solutions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and tools to enhance PLM and MDG capabilities.
• Provide guidance on best practices for data management and product lifecycle integration.
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and IT teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Prepare functional and technical documentation for new solutions.
• Conduct knowledge transfer and training sessions for business users and technical support teams.
