The SAP Process Integration Specialist is responsible for the technical design, development, testing, deployment, and post-release support of SAP integration solution architectures. This role combines SAP PI/PO expertise with modern API frameworks to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient system-to-system communication and data exchange within complex enterprise environments. Responsibilities include defining integration requirements, assessing feasibility, planning work across large systems, and producing high-quality technical documentation. As a senior specialist, you will lead by example, sharing knowledge on best practices and standard API integration techniques, mentoring team members, and coordinating with functional, BASIS, security, and middleware stakeholders to ensure integrations meet business and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of SAP PI/PO integration experience
  • US Citizens only (no dual citizenship)
  • Eligible to obtain a minimum of a Secret Clearance
  • Must live local to St. Louis, MO OR be willing to travel to St. Louis every week

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and build integrations using SAP PI/PO and modern API frameworks (REST/SOAP, eventing, and secure messaging)
  • Enable system-to-system communication, data exchange, and end-to-end integration flows across SAP and non-SAP applications
  • Conduct feasibility assessments, estimate effort, plan subsystem integration activities, and align to project schedules
  • Develop technical deliverables including interface designs, mapping specifications, and integration runbooks
  • Lead unit, integration, and regression testing; support deployment and post-release stabilization
  • Provide ongoing knowledge transfer on best practices, security, and standards-based API techniques
  • Collaborate with functional, BASIS, middleware, and security teams to ensure alignment and operational readiness
  • Contribute to budgeting, staffing, forecasting, and work planning for integration workstreams
  • Manage a team, mentor junior developers, and elevate integration engineering capabilities
