About The Position

The SAP P2P Consultant will lead the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of end-to-end Procure to Pay (P2P) and Inventory Management solutions in SAP S/4HANA MM. This client-facing role requires conducting Fit to Standard/Fit to Design workshops, documenting current and future state processes, and translating business requirements into scalable SAP solutions. The consultant will ensure solutions align with SAP S/4HANA best practices, clean core principles, and client operational goals. Responsibilities include configuring procurement processes, managing inventory parameters, driving compliance, and owning the integration of MM with FI, CO, WM/EWM, and PP. The role involves extensive work on RICEFW objects, collaboration with technical teams, and support for integration technologies. The consultant will lead system testing, UAT, cutover activities, and hypercare, while also preparing functional documentation and providing knowledge transfer. Additionally, the role requires leading and mentoring offshore and onshore teams, acting as a client-facing lead for the Procurement domain, managing risks, and staying current with SAP S/4HANA innovations and Fiori capabilities to recommend improvements and drive adoption.

Requirements

  • Min 13 to 20 years experience
  • Active certifications: SAP S4 HANA Sourcing and Procurement
  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA MM, with deep expertise in Procure to Pay (P2P) and Inventory Management Processes (8-10 years)
  • Proven experience in MM integration with FI, CO, WM/EWM, and PP.
  • Working knowledge of SAP PM and EPPM/PS objects (maintenance orders, notifications, equipment, functional locations, network orders, WBS) (1-2 years)
  • Solid experience with RICEFW developments and working closely with ABAP teams (8-10 years)
  • Strong client-facing experience in Procurement and Supply Chain domains (8-10 years)
  • Experience leading teams in offshore/onshore delivery models (4-5 years)
  • Exposure to SAP Fiori apps for MM and procurement processes (3-4 years)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of end to end Procure to Pay (P2P) and Inventory Management solutions in SAP S/4HANA MM.
  • Conduct Fit to Standard / Fit to Design workshops, document AS IS and TO BE processes, and translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions.
  • Ensure solutions align with SAP S/4HANA best practices, clean core principles, and client operational goals.
  • Configure and support procurement processes related to Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Contracts, Scheduling Agreements, Subcontracting, Consignment, External services procurement
  • Define and manage inventory management parameters, including Goods movements and valuation, Batch management and special stocks, Physical inventory and cycle counting processes
  • Drive compliance, controls, and efficiency across P2P and inventory lifecycles.
  • Own and manage integration of MM with FI, CO, WM/EWM, and PP, ensuring accurate financial postings, inventory valuation, and production consumption.
  • Work extensively on RICEFW objects related to MM, including reports, workflows, interfaces, and enhancements.
  • Collaborate closely with ABAP and technical teams on functional specifications, development reviews, and testing.
  • Support integration technologies such as IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, and OData services where applicable.
  • Lead and execute system testing, integration testing, and UAT, including defect resolution and regression testing.
  • Support cutover activities, go live, and hypercare, ensuring stable transitions to production.
  • Prepare functional documentation, user guides, and provide knowledge transfer to support teams.
  • Lead and mentor offshore and onshore teams, ensuring delivery quality, adherence to timelines, and effective collaboration.
  • Act as a client facing lead for the Procurement domain, handling business queries, providing functional guidance, and recommending process improvements
  • Provide regular status updates, manage risks and dependencies, and support governance forums.
  • Stay current on SAP S/4HANA innovations, MM functional enhancements, and SAP Fiori capabilities.
  • Recommend upgrades, new functionalities, and simplifications to improve procurement efficiency, user experience, and business value.
  • Drive SAP Fiori adoption through role based app enablement for procurement and inventory users.
