About The Position

The Cloud Engineer/Systems Administrator will perform design, provisioning, and support for a fault-tolerant infrastructure leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS). This includes managing EC2 instances (Red Hat Linux and Microsoft Windows), various AWS storage solutions (EBS, EFS, S3, Glacier), AWS Directory Service, Route 53, monitoring tools (CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Config), AWS CLI, CloudFormation, SNS, SQS, Autoscaling, Lambda, AWS Workspaces, AWS Systems Manager, Amazon VPS, ELB, and VPC configurations (Security Groups, NACLs, VPN, Firewall, Availability Zones). The role involves conducting administration, operations, and support for cloud-based servers, assuring software product release quality, evaluating and managing AWS usage and operational costs, developing and supporting automated processes, and delivering hands-on engineering, administration, and technical support. Additionally, the position requires providing subject matter expertise on product design, development, troubleshooting, and documentation for applications running on AWS, implementing systems security requirements (DISA STIGs, Vulnerability remediation), performing problem diagnostics and troubleshooting, and assisting customers with product-related issues.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years’ experience using AWS services and Linux Server Administration.
  • Experience with implementing security on AWS with VPC, IAM, Security Groups, UTM solutions, NACLS etc., provision infrastructure on AWS and scale applications.
  • Experience of architecture and design infrastructure on AWS.
  • Experience with AWS Management Tools as Cloud watch and Cloud Trail.
  • Experience with Linux and proven strong UNIX Shell scripting.
  • Ability to obtain a required DoD 8570 certification (e.g., CASP+, CISSP) within 6 months of hire.
  • Active TS SCI clearance needed and must be able to obtain and maintain a polygraph clearance.
  • Minimum of 2 years of performing operations and maintenance for a medium to large scale virtual environment.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen; this position requires access to customer data.
  • SAP NS2 does not offer Visa sponsorships for this role.

Nice To Haves

  • Systems Administration and/or Security certifications a plus.
  • Knowledge of Windows and PowerShell scripting.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with other cloud platforms like Azure and GCP.

  • Provide guidance as a subject matter expert on product design, development, troubleshooting and documentation applications that run-on AWS.
  • Implement Systems Security requirements (DISA STIGs, Vulnerability remediation, etc.).
  • Perform problem diagnostics, troubleshooting, and development of solutions.
  • Assist customers with product related issues.
