We are expanding our North American team and seeking an experienced SAP GTS Solution Architect to lead innovative trade transformation programs and architect robust compliance solutions across a diverse set of industries.
Location: Canada
Travel: ~50%

Requirements

• 10+ years of SAP consulting experience, including SAP GTS implementations.
• Proven experience delivering at least one full end-to-end SAP GTS implementation in a hands-on role.
• Strong expertise in SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) modules including: Customs Management, Compliance Management, Risk Management, Intrastat Reporting.
• Experience integrating SAP GTS with SAP SD (Sales & Distribution) and SAP MM (Materials Management).
• Ability to translate complex client requirements into scalable SAP solutions using standard functionality.
• Experience preparing functional design documents and technical specifications for development teams.
• Strong knowledge of International Trade Compliance processes and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and client engagement abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within global cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent).

Nice To Haves

• Experience with S/4HANA (E4H) upgrade or migration projects (preferred).
• Exposure to Bonded Warehouse operations, Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) processes, and Customs Filing (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of SAP functional consultants across all phases of SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) implementations including discovery, solution design, configuration, development support, testing, user training, go-live, hypercare, and post-production support.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams to define business processes and solution architecture leveraging SAP GTS and integrated SAP systems.
• Drive functional competency growth within the SAP GTS team by establishing best practices, knowledge sharing, and process standardization.
• Design and implement SAP GTS solutions covering Customs Management, Compliance Management, Risk Management, and Intrastat.
• Translate business requirements into scalable SAP GTS functional solutions with maximum use of standard SAP capabilities and minimal customization.
• Convert functional designs into detailed technical specifications for development teams.
• Lead client meetings and stakeholder interactions including project status reporting, issue resolution, root cause analysis, and training sessions.
• Provide subject matter expertise in International Trade Compliance and SAP GTS best practices.
• Ensure successful project delivery by managing functional design validation, testing coordination, and deployment readiness.
